Patricia's Bio
Patricia was born in Auckland New Zealand and at the age of four sang on radio 1ZB where her father Hilton Porter was a renowned Radio Announcer.
Her Great Grandfather was the Colonel to the New Zealand Army in the Boer War and had married Princess Hare Waka of the Ngati Porou Tribe they had eight children the 2nd youngest being Patricia's Grandfather. The eldest was Princess Ti Rangi Pai who was famous for writing many well known Maori Songs, the main one being "Hine e Hine" one of the national songs of New Zealand and a 'must learn' at school.
Patricia's mother was one of the beauties of Australia, she was one of the highest paid Mannequins in the 1920's, and Dorothy Woolley started the Miss Australia Contest - she was 'Miss Venus' at the time, the lady with the perfect figure, and the headlines read 'Can You Beat That'
Patricia worked as a Hairdresser in Australia, moved to London to a salon in Queensway Bayswater where Twiggy was her junior.
Back in Australia she was very much in demand for Contralto roles in the Gilbert & Sullivan Shows, Katisha in 'The Mikado', Dame Carruthers in 'Yeoman of the Guard', The Duchess of Plaza Toro, the Fairy Queen, Mad Margaret. She joined the Greek Shipping Line of Chandris and for 12 years on and off worked the world voyages and numerous cruises. Met her husband on a cruise in the Mediterranean, they married and had 2 beautiful children, both of whom are now prominently working in the Film and Television Industry.
Many Advertisements and her film career highlight was 'Superman Returns' where she played the Museum Guard opposite Kevin Spacey. Her show reel can be seen below.
Patricia worked at The Pizza Hut Call Centre as a Supervisor for 10 years, and is now dedicating a lot of her time to her job as a Civil Marriage Celebrant.
